THE PATH

The work of the Institute is to move ready-to-retire or retired professionals down another path in their late aging. The path of elder rather than the path of older.

The path of older is dictated by our culture and our fears of dying and death. Our culture commands a future of marginalization, isolation, uselessness, purposelessness, and self-worth deflation, with a topping of depression and low-grade despair.

The path of elders is very different. It is not a default future but a created future. A future where, as an elder, you are relevant, engaged, fulfilled, unburdened, and much more self-expressed. You gain higher wisdom, allowing far better passage when growing old. You’re more able to make a difference. As an elder, you’re more able to leave a legacy.
